Spelman College’s Environmental and Health Sciences Department, in partnership with the Climate Action Campaign is hosting its third Climate Change Symposium, this year as a hybrid event: in-person and virtual. This panel will serve as a kickoff to the annual series and is an opportunity for campus students and community representatives (elected and federal officials) to discuss Environmental Justice policies and topics related to the three degrees the department offers: health science, environmental studies and environmental sciences.

It’s time for President Biden and Congress to deliver on the promise to tackle the climate crisis. Congress needs to approve significant investments in climate, justice, and clean energy to protect our health and environment, lower costs for families, cut carbon pollution, and create jobs and opportunity for all. Our leaders can commemorate Women’s History Month by swiftly passing a bill that delivers bold investments in climate, justice, and jobs.
