Curriculum
Building on a long history of social and environmental movements—and inspired by the University of California’s Bending the Curve course—we created an interactive Climate Justice curriculum for UC undergraduates. Delivered by a diverse group of faculty, the course highlights how climate change affects communities in different ways and brings forward voices and perspectives that are often underrepresented in climate work.
Beyond increasing understanding of climate science and social inequities, the curriculum cultivates resilience, leadership, and collaboration among students. It is designed to inspire thoughtful action—helping the next generation lead effective, inclusive climate solutions that sustain people and ecosystems alike.
Are you a UC faculty member looking to incorporate Climate Justice into your curriculum?
The course is available not only to UC undergraduates but also globally through Coursera and to high school students nationwide through the National Education Opportunity Network (NEON).
Available on Coursera
The UC Climate Justice course is now open to learners worldwide through Coursera, making this innovative curriculum widely accessible. Explore how climate and society intersect, and discover how you can contribute to a sustainable and equitable future.
