Now Hiring: Communications & Engagement Specialist (Project/Temporary)
EarthLab is accepting applications for a Communications and Engagement Specialist. This is a .8 FTE position with the expectation of a Monday-Thursday work schedule. The project is expected to start on May 1, 2022 and last between 6-9 months, though it may be extended. The salary range for this position at .8FTE is $5600-$6000/month depending on experience.
Using visuals and written word, this position is instrumental in educating/sharing stories about EarthLab’s mission and programs and amplifying voices of our eight member organizations and community within and outside of the UW. We are looking for an individual who is extremely organized, highly collaborative, exhibits attention to detail, is comfortable being responsible for several tasks simultaneously, engages with audiences/people from a wide spectrum of backgrounds and will welcome new challenges. With support from supervisors, the specialist will manage multiple projects that require different degrees of independence and team-based collaboration.
The Temporary Communications & Engagement Specialist will report to the EarthLab Executive Director, supporting the execution of EarthLab communications strategies and helping to increase and diversify our engagement with a wide variety of stakeholders.
