Reimagine Climate Justice: Youth-Led Activism & Climate Optimism

Thursday, April 21, 2022 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM PDT

Did you know that…

  • Close to half a million youth around the world have taken action on climate change through projects in their homes, schools and communities
  • Young people are key actors in raising awareness, running educational programs, promoting sustainable lifestyles, conserving nature, supporting renewable energy, adopting environmentally-friendly practices, and so on. (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change)

These facts show that young people are not only victims of climate change. They are also valuable contributors to climate action. They are agents of change, entrepreneurs, and activists.

Join us for a youth-led panel discussion about the state of climate and environmental activism in Rochester and what positive actions are taking place, particularly those initiated by the Black, brown and indigenous youth in our communities.
